I FOUND ONE

Placing someone on pedestal is very expensive to me. Why? Because its hard to find role model nowadays. However, there are distinguished figures whom I take as examples. I don't necessarily follow them instantaneously but they are Muslim figures, religious scholar, religious leader intellectuals philosopher,  who have influenced my thoughts, perspective, or maybe they don't influence me but their ideas or principles are similar to mine.

In terms of Muslim head of state, I had a hard time figuring out whom  is better if not the best among them. Take a look at the Middle east, the outcry for freedom of Arabs is a result of authoritative, dictatorial and abuse of power.

Now, what I perceive to fill in the vacuum is no other the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It entails a long story why I choose him.

In summary, He is a modernist-Islamist-Activist who co-founded the Justice and Development Party. Because of his political and economic reforms he gained popularity among Turkish  including Kurdish Minority which led him to third term in premiership. He bring Turkey into ascendancy to regional power. He stands for Muslims' cause especially Palestinian issue. His voice bear significance in the Arab Spring.

Fareed Zakaria described him in his GPS last episode as "he is maybe the new voice of the Middle East. He is economically dynamic, politically confident and geopolitically savvy.

Thomas Carolls remarked in his article "
developed a keen understanding of when not to push his agenda" which to me, places him to where he is now.

He is the man.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan
